sonnet1: origins

back in ol' december of twenty ten I thought I'd get the ball rolling with an infinite loop of some kind of 2>1 but 3>2 thing turned burroughs koan:

then i figured i'd bring in some verbs and objects and things...

something for the titles...

and....

and, of course, eventually... (after 11 months or so...)

Bio: sonnet1.bas was originally programmed by Edward Reib around 1991 on a few different 386s and things, which have since ended up in landfills, no doubt.

On December 7th, 2010, Edward downloaded GWBasic and began coding "sonnet1" again.

On January 1, 2011, he painted the back of an old jacket and wrapped the little circular door to a medium sized hamster wheel in black cloth and put it on his head and shot the first video of "sonnet1" as a Tron-esque program which he created in one of those cool mirror things like Flynn used.

On February 1st, 2011, after having shot the first nine of sonnet1's recitals, Edward was overjoyed when Cindy Morgan herself became sonnet1's 29th fan.

On May 13th 2011, Edward was mentioned in the L.A. Times as on May 14th, sonnet1, wearing a new Tron suit was to recite his Sonnets #1661 and Sonnet #1670 at the Save King Dave Fundraiser.

On July 20, 2011, after sonnet1 had penned 1738 sonnets, 17 of which he had recited in video form, his user, Edward, created this blog.
